Pop fizz volcano!!!!!

I am going to tell you why a volcano erupts. Dun!Dun!Dun!
Here's why.
The eruption happens because the carbon dioxides (CO2) is in the middle of all the H20 molecules that is surrounding the CO2. But when the mentos comes in all the H20 molecules will break up and go away and more CO2 will come in and make the eruption better.
Now you know how to make volcano erupt try it at home but don't burn the house down.

World’s tallest dog dies

The world’s tallest dog has died at the age of seven in Arizon, USA.

Giant George weighed more than 110kg and was able to reach a height 2.20m standing on his hind legs.

The sad news of the Great Dane’s death was announced on George’s official Facebook page.

Owner David Nasser said: “It is with a heavy heart that we announce Giant George died last night.”

Giant George ate around 50kg of food each month.

George was so big he had to have his own queen-sized double bed inside the house, where he slept until he died last week.

Record breaker

In 2010, he was named by Guinness World Records as both the world’s tallest living dog and tallest dog ever.

Rainbow milk magic

Have you ever wondered how to make milk come more alive and like a rainbow?


Milk is made out of minerals, vitamins and fat. But water is only made up of minerals and vitamins. The fat chases the dish washing liquid and we see the food colouring mixing with all the other colours. The water doesn't have fat so it can't make a rainbow. Half of the dish washing liquid is scared of water so it doesn't make a rainbow.

Know you now what milk has and water has you should try it yourself to see if they mix.

Athletics-Running

I have learnt that you have to put you fingers in the position of holding a feather.When someone says on your marks you have to step up to the line with your back heal off the ground and your back straight. I know when someone says get set you have to bend your back forward with your fingers in the position where your holding a feather and when someone claps you run as fast as you can. My goal is to run as fast as I can using the opposite arm to leg to make me even faster.

Athletics Throwing

I tried to throw further every time to try and throw the furthest in Room 9 and beat Filipe. First you put the ball by your chin and bend back and use the hand your not throwing with to aim. Then throw but when you throw you have to bend forward so your throwing hand meets your aiming hand.I am remembering to pump hard by bending further back.

I have used Pic Collage to share Room 9 learning to play tennis and dancing.

Pic Collage helps me with my learning because it reminds me of my amazing learning.

I think Pic Collage should stay on the ipad and ipod because it is an app that shows your learning.

Pic Collage is a publishing app because when you have finished making a Pic Collage you can publish it on your blog.

Next time I use Pic Collage I will try to make one about all my favourite things about my year in Room 9.

Ugly witch lady

Madousa's hair looks like big winding worms wiggling like jelly. She looks evil because her eyes look like a devil. Madousa's favourite colour is white because she is wearing all white. Her hair is as brown as a bears coat. She might live in an igloo. Everything she touches turns into stone. Madousa is so powerful that she beat a lion in a fight without even a single scratch.

100WC-Suddenly I heard a crack

One day I was playing with my friend. Suddenly I heard a crack and it didn't sound very far away. Me and my friend were very terrified we didn't know what to do. We thought it was an earthquake so we dropped covered and held. Until nothing happened so we got up and walked back inside. Then we started to play on the computer. Suddenly we heard the crack again but we didn't care about it because nothing happened the first time so we just carried on playing until a real earthquake came. We were so scared that we were running around the room saying “what do we do what do we do” we started to go crazy.

I have learnt how to work out my times tables and am even using doubling and halving and a little bit more and a little bit less strategies to work out times tables bigger than 10.

I learnt that if you have bound feet men won't marry women with bound feet.

Children made their families proud by getting a gold medal award for being top of the class.

I think they should touch up their burgers because they are really telling the truth but it is just hiding inside.

I think they made this video so they can tell the truth and show people it is the same.

I think differently about McDonalds now because the burgers are small and on the picture it was huge.

100WC-Rubbish Monsters

 

The rubbish monsters walk around at night munching and crunching at all of the things that you can recycle. The little grey rubbish bin staring at the tall green healthy bins was getting jealous all day saying “I am useless why don’t other people put rubbish in me? So I can grow big and tall and shiny and strong like those other green rubbish bins?” By the way they are so creepy and those rubbish bins have black eyes and it looks like someone is going to jump out and scream to scare you.

What a Stinky Mess!

People smell me

Before using me

I open my mouth

To swallow other peoples lunch

If rubbish is in my way

I will munch it up

Sometimes it’s rotten

Sometimes it’s fresh

People open me

By themselves

I stink like old socks

And I’m green like grass

I have a handle

And a lid that can open

And at the end of the day

I get emptied ready for tomorrow’s lunch

At maths time I have learnt how to do my tidy tens here is an example

Wordle

Today I have made a wordle a wordle is when you have to write a whole bunch of words and when you finish you need to hit ctrl c (to copy) and then ctrl v (to paste).The more you paste it the bigger the word. But it only comes up big when it is on wordle and press go to decorate it. Now you know how to make your own but don't forget copy it in MS word because you can't save it in Wordle.

My Behaviour

What I am going to achieve this year is to not be cheeky to the teacher and to not hit anybody and I will never do it again. I am going to work hard to be able to wear my Taonga that Mum gave me with pride.

What I have enjoyed so far

What I have enjoyed so far is my fraction circle art because I finished it quickly and it is about me and my whole family. What I am looking forward to doing this term is camp because I have never been on a camp and it sounds very exciting.

Swimming

I am proud of my freestyle and my goal for swimming is to do my back stroke straight.
