100WC-Rubbish Monsters

 Week #37

The rubbish monsters walk around at night munching and crunching at all of the things that you can recycle. The little grey rubbish bin staring at the tall green healthy bins was getting jealous all day saying “I am useless why don’t other people put rubbish in me? So I can grow big and tall and shiny and strong like those other green rubbish bins?” By the way they are so creepy and those rubbish bins have black eyes and it looks like someone is going to jump out and scream to scare you.

  1. To Tawhiao,
I love the words munching and crunching that you have used in your first sentence. They are great descriptive words and because they rhyme they are even catchier. Well done for using speech marks to show dialogue in your writing. I also like how you used some personal voice as the rubbish bin feeling jealous of the other bins. I wonder if you could work on your last sentence I am not sure that it really flows on from what you have been describing so far. Did the grey rubbish bin want to be like the green ones until he found out they had black eyes and were actually mean bins? How could you edit that last sentence to make it carry on from your last sentence a bit better?
