I enjoy doing reciprocal reading because everyone in my group gets to be the leader and we have done two reciprocal books. One was called Shark Hunting and the other was Dr Flockter. When we did Dr Flockter me and Amelia had two turns as the leader. I have learnt that everyone could be the leader (teacher) and that I could lead everyone and everyone could answer my questions that I asked them. When it wasn't my turn as the leader I got better at reading to the teacher and making my predictions about what would happen next.
To Tawhiao,
ReplyDeleteIt is great to see that you are learning to have turns as the teacher and that you are learning to make your predictions about what will happen next in the story. Why do you think it is important that we make predictions?
What might your goal be for the next time you do reciprocal reading?
