Writing-Describing a character

I think he looks ugly and it is like he replaced his fingers back to his hand and his face is so white that it is like a cloud and it is like he has gotten shot with a bow and arrow four times and he looks wild because it looks like there are creatures inside his hat and outside.

Measurement

Measurement is something like Mass or length. Length means how far a person is like mm cm m or even km. Mass is something about weight. weight is someing like (T),(kg),(g),(lbs),(mg) lbs is a special way to say pounds.

Procedure Writing

During writing time we made an Origami whale. We wrote a procedure about the Origami whale it was fun. Everyone made one each.You need your procedure to be nice and clear and read through it so that the person you are going to get to make it can learn from your procedure writing.

Cutting our vegetables

When we were going to Assembly Mrs Head picked up all the Enviro Agents that's in the Middle Syndicate to cut some vegetables like silverbeet or broccoli.Then we got to cook it and I was sooo proud of myself that I had helped grow the vegetables. I can't wait until my strawberries are ready at home to eat!

Arbor Day

On Arbor Day I felt excited and there were thousands of plants there. People in my group were George, Nikita, Justice and me. We learnt how to plant a plant. It is sooo easy. I can teach  you how. You get a plant then you get a buddy next you get your buddy and tell him to dig a hole. The other buddy gets to squeeeze around the pot then carfuly pull out the plant and loosen the roots. Put it into the hole then put all the dirt into the hole and then you pat on the dirt so its flat on the ground.

Sound

The most interesting thing I learnt about sound was I didn't know that you couldn't speak and hear in space. Because there is no air and sound can't travel with no air. Earth has air so sound can travel on Earth.

Reciprocal Reading

I enjoy doing reciprocal reading because everyone in my group gets to be the leader and we have done two reciprocal books. One was called Shark Hunting and the other was Dr Flockter. When we did Dr Flockter me and Amelia had two turns as the leader. I have learnt that everyone could be the leader (teacher) and that I could lead everyone and everyone could answer my questions that I asked them. When it wasn't my turn as the leader I got better at reading to the teacher and making my predictions about what would happen next.

speech

I couldn't wait to say my speech and I was dying to go to the Room 11 finals but I didn't but I know who went to the finals. It was Amelia, Jacob, Sofia and Shaynie-Lee. I think I did well at speaking loudly and using a clear voice. I think I need to work on using eye contact because I only used a little bit.

Book Fair

I thought the bookfair was very cool in the library. Bookfairs are really cool because people can get new books. My favourite book is Lego Ninjargo The Golden Weapons because every Lego Ninjargo gets new golden weapons.

Performing our play

My reading group Roald Dahl did a play in Room11. Room11 liked our play. Gina was Meg, Amelia and Rhiannon were children making Big City Noises, I was uncle Shane, Alex was Dad, and last but not least Shaynie-lee was performing Bruno the guard dog. Room11 loved it. I think they enjoyed it because it was funny because when we were going to the boat I had to hold onto Dad. I think I need to work trying not to use the book and learn it off by heart.

Welcome back to 2012

I'm looking forward to go to Ngaruawahia because I haven't been there but I'm getting excited.
