winter sports

In room 12 we are doing volley ball for our winter sport. We were learning how to dig,spike and serve. My favourite one is the spike because when the person serves it the spikier can just hit it right to the ground. The server gets to go in a particular spot and serve it and the dig is when you put your hands together and put your thumbs together and hit the ball. 

On friday the 24th of April we had our assembly. As you are aware we are doing some skits from the stuff we were doing in camp my friend Te Aho and I were doing rifle shooting. After the assembly we went to the staffroom for some biscuits.

Maths week

This is me at maths week doing the gumboot throw. Really Im not doing the gumboot throw I just took a photo of my self but I am in the line for the gumboot throw. Im not good at the distance but i am good at the height. It would be good if they were counting the height but they weren't they only count the distance. I came third but they only give a prize for the 1st placer which is Bowai who won a prize on the beanbag throw that is how good he is.                 

Term 2 reflection

What I liked about term 2 is that if you need to go toilet you can just write your name up on the chart and flip the sign and go without even asking. I learnt this term is heaps of easier equations for maths. I am looking forward to being a year 6.

Book review

Gold of the gods

Introduction sentence:
Do you want to read a book about survival and adventure? Then read the book gold of the gods mission survival by bear grills.

Summary:
This story is about a boy named Beck Granger. Beck Granger is strong, smart and brave. Beck Granger can fend off sharks, kill snakes and to get water he cuts off vines and drinks the water under it.

The main characters:
The boy Beck Granger is the most main character. He is very intelligent and smart and very humble.

Likes and dislikes:
I really like the way that if Beck gets told if he can't do something he won't do it that means that he is a good listener. What I don't like is if Don Rafael gets told he can't do something he will still do it that means that he is a bad listener.

Themes:
The theme of Gold of the Gods is survival and adventure and courage. The message the author is trying to tell the readers is to never be afraid.

Recommendation:
I recommend that this story isn't approprate for a younger audience. The age group I would recommend would be 9 and over for boys and girls, because boys and girls would like this book and boys and girls like adventure books.
